Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ESOL and Functional Skills.
• Experience teaching in Adult Education/FE/Community Learning.
• Experience conducting learner assessments and reviews.
• Experience planning learner-centred lessons.
• Experience supporting learners with different abilities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and digital skills.
• Experience maintaining learner records and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver ESOL/Functional Skills programmes.
• Conduct learner interviews, initial assessments, and diagnostic assessments.
• Create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
• Develop learning resources and utilise digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
• Support learners through individual learning plans and progression opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum managers and support teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and curriculum development.
• Participate in course reviews and learner achievement processes.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and British Values.
• Support learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
