Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking an experienced ESG Manager to lead the development and delivery of the environmental, social and governance strategy from Cambridge onsite. You will own ESG reporting, governance, and sustainability initiatives across a global organisation serving public safety and government sectors.

You will work with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to translate ESG requirements into measurable objectives, embed sustainability into business processes and supply

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, ESRS, ISSB, CDP).
• Experience delivering ESG reports, metrics and disclosures.
• Experience in ESG reporting within global supply chains, incl. government/public sector.
• Strong project management and data handling skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ESG strategy, governance, and roadmap.
• Manage ESG reporting and disclosures across international standards.
• Oversee carbon emissions reporting and the Carbon Reduction Plan.
• Manage ESG data collection, validation, and KPIs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior management.
• Lead ESG responses for tenders and external benchmarks.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and materiality assessments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Operations to integrate sustainability.
• Drive responsible sourcing and supply chain ESG requirements.
• Support social value and employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain ESG policies and controls aligned with ISO 14001.
• Raise ESG awareness across the organisation.
