Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies in Oxford is seeking an experienced ESG & Risk Associate to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive ESG initiatives and risk management across the procurement function.

You will develop supplier ESG programmes, collect and analyse data, maintain data governance, and produce dashboards and reports while ensuring policy compliance and continuous improvement in supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESG/Risk and procurement environment.
• Ability to manipulate data to provide actionable insights.
• Understanding of supplier onboarding and ESG reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of supplier ESG programmes across carbon emissions and ethical sourcing.
• Support ESG and supply chain risk reporting by collecting, validating and analysing data from suppliers, internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Maintain accurate and consistent data, ensuring governance standards and due diligence across the supply chain and procurement systems.
• Prepare and validate ESG reports with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging supply chain risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier screening for sanctions, modern slavery, financial stability, anti-bribery, cybersecurity and ESG criteria.
• Produce regular risk and ESG dashboards, reports and management information.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy and drive corrective actions where needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance, ESG performance and resilience.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers, contracting, and sourcing workflows with ERP data integrity and policy compliance.
