Job summary

bp is seeking a seasoned ESG Specialist within Supply, Trading & Shipping to deliver environmental, social and governance expertise across trading activities. The role partners with Trading Benches, Commercial Development and Leadership to translate ESG into investment guidance.

You will appraise risks and opportunities in traditional and energy-transition commodities, supporting governance, due diligence and post-deal monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, environmental or science-based subject.
• Knowledge of energy commodities, technologies, and global energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESG and Sustainability subject matter expertise to bp's supply, trading & shipping operations.
• Assess ESG risks and opportunities in both traditional and energy transition commodities.
• Guide ESG due diligence for large ITK deals and long-term commitments.
• Support post-deal monitoring, reporting and governance of ESG indicators.
• Support Sustainability Strategy integration into Trading operations.
• Build awareness of ESG factors among Trading teams and leadership.
• Participate in JV risk assurance workshops to assess ESG risk exposure.
