Job summary

Otis Limited in Leeds is seeking an Escalator Repair Engineer to maintain and service our portfolio of lifts and escalators across the Northwest region. You will ensure passenger safety by completing maintenance visits within your territory.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in escalator service, a valid driver's license, and at least 24 months of elevator sector experience. You should be comfortable working on-site, independently or in a team, with strong electrical skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance, or repair.
• Driver's license and within 1 hour commute of Liverpool.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• Committed to safety and high professional standards.
• Able to communicate well on site and with customers.
• Comfortable working alone or in a team and using digital/electronic tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area, managing the portfolio of elevators.
• Respond proactively to fix breakdowns, aiming for first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to sustain operation.
• Liaise directly with the customer on site to build a good working relationship.

Otis is growing and is looking for an Escalator Repair engineer for one of our entities in the Northwest region. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units. On a typical day you will:

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

What you will need to be successful
