Job summary

Schindler Ltd (UK) is seeking an Escalator Service Engineer to maintain and repair escalators across London and the South region. You will perform planned maintenance, fault-finding and repairs while ensuring safety and high service standards for major customer sites.

Desirable experience across lift equipment and strong diagnostic capabilities will support broader equipment portfolio capabilities within Schindler. A full driving licence is required for UK travel.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or Lift Engineering or equivalent training.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on escalator equipment per schedule and safety standards.
• Performing routine servicing, adjustments and component replacements to maximise reliability.
• Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and restoring equipment to service quickly.
