Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting a People Specialist on a 9-month FTC to manage a broad Employee Relations workload and partner with managers across the business. You will own ER cases and support wider change, workforce planning and HR initiatives in a highly flexible hybrid setup with attendance roughly once every fortnight.

The role requires hands-on ER experience, knowledge of UK employment law, and the ability to coach and influence managers while balancing policy with business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Employee Relations experience is essential.
• Confident managing ER cases independently.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experienced advising, coaching and influencing managers directly.
• Broader HR exposure including change, restructures, workforce planning or people projects.
• Commercial approach with the ability to balance policy with business needs.
• Comfortable interpreting HR data and identifying trends.
• Experience within a larger or complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a varied ER caseload including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and wellbeing.
• Advise and coach managers on complex people matters, confidently challenging where appropriate.
• Provide pragmatic advice in line with UK employment law and commercial priorities.
• Support organisational change, restructures and workforce planning.
• Contribute to wider HR, culture and transformation projects.
• Review people data across ER, absence, engagement and performance to identify trends and risks.
• Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
