Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives: IRS, CDS, Bond TRS, Equity TRS, Div Swaps, OTC Options, Vol/Var Swaps.
  • Experience with Prime Broker portals and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and support the broader operations team.
  • Strong communication and client service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Process trade bookings and lifecycle events for OTC products.

  • Support data accuracy reporting (P&L, NAV, positions).
  • Assist swap resets, dividend accruals, and margin queries.

The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail oriented professional to join the team as an Associate in our Equity Middle Office at Schonfeld in our London office, supporting trade workflows across the OTC product space. You will be working with an experienced Operations team to implement best in class operational policies and procedures. You will have a keen attention to detail, a data integrity mindset and be someone who thrives off learning new skills and challenging yourself. You will be a natural team player who can use their strong interpersonal skills to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.

What you’ll doThe individual will work very closely with other middle office team members to assist with day‑to‑day operational duties across the OTC product suite, including IRS, CDS, Bond TRS, Equity TRS, Div Swaps, OTC Options, and Vol & Var Swaps.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • Process trade bookings and lifecycle events for OTC products (IRS, CDS, FX, FX Options, Bond TRS, Equity TRS, Div Swaps, OTC Options and Vol & Var Swaps)
  • Trade affirmations and paper confirmations for OTC derivatives, with daily liaison with executing brokers and counterparties
  • Static data management for OTC products
  • Ensure trade flow is accurately processed across all systems, including lifecycle events such as resets, fixings and terminations
  • Affirm cash settlement amounts and process cash wires for OTC products.
  • Work closely with trading desk, PMs and technology teams
  • T0 trade matching using MTM, Markitwire and PB portals
  • T0 recs and ad‑hoc requests across OTC asset classes
  • Support data accuracy to trading desk and PMs, through various reporting tools (P&L, NAVs, positions etc.)
  • Support with swap resets, dividend accruals, and margin/collateral queries

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related degree
  • Experience in Operations; buy‑side experience at a hedge fund with direct exposure to traders/PMs preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of OTC derivative products such as IRS, CDS, Bond TRS, Equity TRS, Div Swaps, OTC Options, and Vol/Var Swaps.
  • Experience with various Prime Broker, executing broker and FCM web portals and reporting
  • Capable of setting priorities and carrying multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to support both the broader operations team and firmwide initiatives
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a track record of delivering results
  • Solid communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, with an aptitude towards client service
  • Enjoys working with people who challenge you and make you better at what you do
  • Advanced Excel skills – vlookups, pivots, etc
  • Experience working in a multi strategy, multi PM fund structure
  • Experience with Markitwire, Enfusion, Geneva, and EMS platforms.
  • Experience with Macros/VBA preferred. Python/SQL familiarity a plus.
