Job summary

Gateley Legal is seeking an Equity Capital Markets Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join our London or Birmingham team on a hybrid basis. You will advise corporates and advisers on ECM and public M&A matters, taking ownership of matters and mentoring junior lawyers.

The role offers cross-border experience and collaboration with senior leaders, including opportunities to contribute to business development and client relationships within Gateley’s national ECM practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years PQE with equity capital markets and public M&A experience.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and handle high-value matters.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills for complex transactions.
• Willingness to network and develop new business opportunities within Gateley.

Responsibilities

• Advise corporates, investment banks, brokers and major shareholders on ECM matters and public M&A.
• Manage a diverse workload across equity capital markets, public M&A and corporate governance.
• Take ownership of matters and work closely with a partner on high-value work.
• Develop cross-border transaction experience and client relationships.
