Job summary

Gateley Legal is seeking a high-performing Equity Capital Markets Associate/Senior Associate with 7PQE+ to join its national ECM team. The role is based in London or Birmingham with hybrid working, working alongside senior partners and a growing high-value deal flow across UK and international markets.

You will advise corporates, banks and shareholders on IPOs, secondary offerings and related governance, with ownership of transactions and mentoring junior lawyers in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• The candidate must have at least 4 years' PQE with experience in equity capital markets and public M&A.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and take ownership of matters.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Advise corporates, investment banks, brokers and major shareholders on capital markets matters.
• Lead and manage transactions, with ownership of complex and high-value matters.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Engage in cross-border ECM and M&A work, including pan-European and transatlantic deals.
