Job summary

Trinity Resource Solutions in the United Kingdom seeks an Equipment Technician to prepare, test and maintain professional rental equipment in a busy Dagenham operation.

You will perform PAT tests, inspect gear, carry out minor repairs, manage inventory and work with external contractors while upholding safety standards and quality. This is a 40-hour onsite role with some weekend overtime; ideal candidates will be practical, organized and technically minded.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment, technical, workshop, rental, engineering, AV, lighting, events or similar environment.
• Experience carrying out equipment checks, testing, maintenance or minor repairs.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn asset management systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Good communication with colleagues, contractors and management.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing equipment before and after rental.
• Carrying out PAT testing and electrical/function checks.
• Inspecting equipment and identifying faults or damage.
• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance where required.
• Ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
• Recording and reporting damaged or faulty equipment.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and asset records.
• Using internal asset management systems to track equipment.
• Supporting general inventory and warehouse activities.
• Liaising with external contractors when required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working closely with operational staff and senior management to support business requirements.
• Following health and safety procedures, including manual and mechanical handling.
