Job summary

GAP Group Ltd in Liverpool is seeking a proactive Labourer to join the Plant & Tools Division. You will help keep the depot tidy, prepare hire equipment, and support the team to deliver excellent service across construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors.

This hands-on role offers real career progression in a family-run business that values safety, attention to detail and teamwork. A valid driving licence and CSCS card are advantageous, and previous labourer experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Driving license required and a CSCS card and/or forklift licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites in a safe, timely and professional manner, ensuring all relevant checks and associated administration are completed accurately
