Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Equine Brand Veterinary Adviser to provide expert veterinary leadership across equine products for the UK & Ireland markets. The role bridges veterinary science with marketing and commercial teams, shaping brand strategy and enabling customer-centric decisions.

This position supports both day-to-day operations and long-term development through technical training, stakeholder collaboration, and engagement with external experts, while upholding high compliance

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree is required and English proficiency is essential.
• Experience in equine veterinary practice is preferred.
• Understanding NOAH/APHA, RCVS, and VMR regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical consultancy on equine products and their safe use to colleagues, distributors, and customers.
• Deliver veterinary insight to Brand Managers for customer-centric strategic plans.
• Review and approve promotional materials for scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with NOAH/APHA, RCVS, pharmacovigilance requirements and internal procedures.
• Partner with marketing and commercial teams to embed technical expertise into campaigns and strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) and industry stakeholders.
• Design and deliver technical training programs for internal teams and distributors.
• Monitor competitor activity, scientific publications, and industry trends for insights.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions when required and assist copy approval processes.
• Represent the company at conferences and stakeholder meetings to strengthen external presence.
• Support a 24/7 technical enquiry rota ensuring timely, accurate responses.
• Promote compliance, ethics, and Speak Up culture across activities.
