Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Sussex is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager within IT Data Management. You will lead a team of 8 engineers across multiple sites, delivering data pipelines, data platforms and data warehousing to support reporting and analytics for the Trust.

The role focuses on EPR and SDP programmes, Microsoft SQL Server stack, Power BI and Google Cloud Platform, with ambitious service delivery and governance across NHS data standards.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in computing/mathematics/statistics.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server stack including SSIS/SSRS, and Power BI.
• Experience with NHS data and reporting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Data Engineers, their day-to-day and project activities.
• Design, develop, test, implement and maintain data pipelines, data warehouse and reporting systems.
• Act as SME for multiple locally developed systems and Trust software solutions.
• Ensure data engineering services meet priorities, standards and governance.
