Job summary

National Grid is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead the development and delivery of major electricity infrastructure projects across South Wales, including Swansea and Cardiff. You will drive delivery safely, on time and within budget, coordinating with contractors and internal teams on complex HV projects.

Two levels exist, including a Lead role. The role requires a degree, CDM/SHESQ knowledge, NEC contract experience, and strong stakeholder management, with a hybrid site-office-work

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (APM, RICS, CIOB) desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Support project development, consenting, delivery, and close-out in line with governance processes.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and CDM compliance throughout.
• Manage contractors and project teams to deliver projects to time, cost, and specification.
• Produce and maintain key project documentation, reporting, and financial forecasts.
• Drive stakeholder and customer engagement, resolving issues proactively.
• Support tendering, contract strategy, and NEC contract management.
• Oversee commissioning, handover, and asset integration.
• Contribute to risk management, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement.
