Job summary

Q1 Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer with strong API design and gateway security expertise. The candidate will work with Golang or Java, implementing authentication and authorization at the gateway using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and mutual TLS.

Expect hands-on DevOps involvement across CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes-based environments. Proficiency in OpenAPI specs and experience with Envoy Proxy or Envoy Gateway are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more backend languages (Golang/Java).
• Experience with Envoy Proxy or Envoy Gateway.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs via OpenAPI Spec.
• Hands-on authn/authz at gateway level: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
• DevOps toolchain proficiency: CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform.
