Job summary

Evantis Consulting is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design and implement schema-driven APIs and UIs in a modern cloud environment. The role focuses on configuring API gateways, managing routes, and ensuring reliable deployments through GitOps practices.

You will work with Kong, Envoy, and Akamai/CloudFront, writing code and configurations directly to deliver scalable, contract-driven services across our platform.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Golang or Java for backend services.
• Experience building schema-driven UIs and services from OpenAPI/JSON Schema.
• Professional experience configuring API gateways (Kong, Envoy, Akamai/CloudFront) including routes, services, upstreams, plugins.
• Hands-on GitOps-based delivery with intent → PR → merge → reconcile, plus automated rollback on failure.
• Comfort with CLI-driven and code-editor workflows for gateway onboarding and config-as-code.
