Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc is recruiting an Environmental Test Technician Specialist to lead environmental testing programmes at our Shoeburyness site. You will supervise and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring tests meet safety, quality and contract requirements while delivering robust data and insights for mission-critical defence systems.

You will work with senior engineers to plan, execute complex trials, review results, and provide clear reports.

Qualifications

• Experience leading environmental test programmes.
• Ability to review test data and produce robust reports.
• Proven leadership in engineering projects.
• SC clearance eligibility or willingness to undergo vetting.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental test programmes ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and safety legislation.
• Design, plan and execute complex environmental trials with technical direction.
• Review documentation, analyse test data and produce quality reports with QA checks.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders, provide progress updates and recovery plans.
• Drive continuous improvement to testing capabilities, efficiency and safety.
• Develop and mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing and safety culture.
