Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Sustainability, Geography, Conservation, Natural Sciences, or related discipline.
• Seeking a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree programme.
• Passionate about protecting the environment and creating a more sustainable future.
• Curious and eager to learn, with a desire to understand how environmental decisions shape major projects.
• A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with a wide range of people, from ecologists and environmental specialists to engineers, project managers and regulators.
• Analytical and inquisitive, with the ability to interpret data, solve problems and challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance across a live construction site.
• Collaborate with ecology, sustainability, water management, planning and environmental assurance teams.
• Contribute to habitat protection and biodiversity initiatives.
• Analyse environmental performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with engagement with regulators, contractors and key project stakeholders.
• Participate in site inspections, environmental assessments and investigations.
