Job summary

Cooper & Hall Limited is offering an Industrial Placement Student role within the Site Environment team for Sizewell C, a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. The 12-month programme focuses on gaining hands-on experience across ecology, compliance, sustainability and stakeholder engagement.

You'll work with experienced environmental professionals and contribute to real-world environmental challenges, supporting a drive toward net-zero energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Sustainability, Geography, Conservation, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Seeking a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree programme.
• Passionate about protecting the environment and creating a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance across a live construction site.
• Work alongside ecology, sustainability, water management, planning and environmental assurance specialists.
• Contribute to habitat protection and biodiversity initiatives.
• Analyse environmental performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Engage with regulators, contractors and key project stakeholders.
