Environmental Sustainability Manager, London

We have a current opportunity for an Environmental and Sustainability Manager on a permanent basis.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the NCFE Green Strategy in collaboration with the Director of Estates & Capital Projects.
• Drive and embed environmental sustainability practices to reduce the college's environmental footprint.
• Advise and prioritize estate decarbonisation work, leading its implementation with the Director of Estates & Capital Projects.
• Act as a champion for environmental sustainability across NCFE.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Green Strategy and provide environmental training to staff, focusing on carbon footprint reduction.
• Track, measure, and report on the college's carbon footprint annually, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
• Plan and prioritize actions to reduce the college's carbon footprint and develop a roadmap to achieve net zero carbon emissions.
• Support estate decarbonisation projects, reporting to the Green Investment Board.
• Monitor progress towards environmental goals, including cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and adopt best practices.
• Assess environmental performance data and report to stakeholders.
• Advise on environmentally sustainable refurbishment and capital projects.
• Promote environmental awareness across the college and develop engagement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Safeguarding legislation and pursue professional development.
