About the role

In this key role, you will provide the site with specialist environmental knowledge and expert advice to fulfill all legal obligations, ensuring compliance with local & European laws and our sustainability strategy. You will report to the RESH Manager (NW Operations) supporting our Trafford Park Mill.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements across all environmental matters.
• Identify emerging environmental trends and ensure the site is equipped to address them.
• Provide assurance of legal compliance in environmental matters.
• Write, communicate, and train on the site’s environmental policies.
• Support continuous improvement aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with other Environmental Specialists to identify and implement improvements and perform benchmarks internally.
• Support broader engineering and technical teams on environmental impact improvements.
• Manage all permits across both sites.
• Lead internal audits with significant assets on site.

Who are you?

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Proven experience in an environmental role within an industrial setting.
• Experience in the FMCG sector.
• Knowledge of ISO standards (desirable).
• Experience managing permits (essential).
• Auditing knowledge and experience (desirable).
• NEBOSH environmental certificate / IEMA (desirable).
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence constructively.
• Ability to react quickly under pressure.
• A passion for coaching and guiding others to improve results.
