We seek an individual with practical experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and management to join our Manchester team. Key clients include National Highways, Network Rail, Transport for the North, Anglian Water, Environment Agency, and local authorities.

This role offers career development for an experienced professional eager to advance in a dynamic industry. You will collaborate with technical specialists, lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), work with clients, develop new business, and mentor team members.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in environmental or related sciences and possess comprehensive EIA expertise. We support ongoing professional growth through training and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination and delivery of environmental work, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Manage a team of environmental professionals.
  • Promote high environmental standards within multidisciplinary projects, influencing development and outcomes.
  • Compile and edit information for clear, well-written reports.
  • Deliver own work to high standards, review others' work, on time and within budget.
  • Manage client needs professionally and confidently.
  • Support bid preparation and identify new business opportunities.
  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as per professional institute requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Master’s in environmental or science subject.
  • Chartered status for a minimum number of years (specify years).
  • Relevant postgraduate experience, preferably in consultancy.
  • Experience with major infrastructure projects.
  • Deep knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical skills.
  • Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work at different locations.
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm and commitment to sustainability.
