Worley in London is seeking a Technical Consultant I, Environmental Scientist to support contaminated land assessment and remediation projects. This full-time role offers opportunities for career development, mentoring, and international experience within the Decommissioning, Restoration and Geosciences practice.

You’ll contribute to desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and remedial design, while performing NEC Supervisor duties and ensuring safe, compliant field operations

Qualifications

• Candidates should be educated to degree level (Master’s preferred) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Geology, Applied Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology).
• Willing to travel and spend periods of time away on field-based projects across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Supporting delivery of contaminated land assessment and remediation projects including: desk studies, site investigation, risk assessments, remediation options appraisals, remedial design and verification.
• Undertaking the NEC Supervisor role for contaminated land remediation projects and supporting the NEC Project Manager. Training will be provided regarding the Supervisor role, but some previous experience is preferred.
• Data management: review and interpretation.
• Preparation of high-quality technical reports.
• Field work including managing contractors on site.
• Managing project health and safety on site including preparation of project HSSE plans and method statements; and,
• Compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
