Job summary

Natural Resources Wales is seeking a specialist lead for environmental reporting. You will manage the delivery of national and international reports, transforming complex data into robust evidence and insights to support sustainable resource management in Wales.

The role requires degree-level expertise in a technical/environmental field, strong data analysis skills (ArcGIS, Excel, R, FME) and prior project leadership. Hybrid working is offered, and the team supports professional development.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience with data management, analysis and manipulation.
• Ability to communicate complex data and statistics clearly.
• Experience managing technical projects and cross‑functional work.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, manipulate, interpret and report environmental data for national/international reporting obligations.
• Lead and project manage complex reporting tasks across environmental themes.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to staff on reporting.
• Develop innovative approaches to improve reporting efficiency.
• Engage with government, agencies and partners on reporting projects.
• Mentor colleagues and oversee governance of NRW reporting.
