Job summary

North Norfolk District Council is seeking an Environmental Protection Officer on a part-time basis. The role covers Statutory Nuisance, antisocial behaviour, and environmental crime investigations within the coastal and rural district.

The post is 22 hours per week with hybrid working where possible. A relevant degree or regulatory experience is required, plus a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

About The Role

We have a fantastic Environmental Protection Officer role available. The role covers a variety of duties including Statutory Nuisance, Antisocial Behaviour, and Environmental Crime investigations.

We would love to have a candidate who wants to make a positive difference, to the environment, lives, and wellbeing of people within the coastal and rural district of North Norfolk.

This is a varied and rewarding role, if you relish the challenge of working in a diverse, dynamic work environment, then joining the North Norfolk Environmental Protection Team could be for you.

Please note this is a part time role, 22 hours per week.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree/qualification and experience, or candidates with substantial regulatory experience. As an organisation we encourage professional development and support further training opportunities.

You must have excellent communication and customer care skills, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential. The successful candidate will be well organised and able to work flexibly.

A full driving license and daily access to a vehicle is essential.

Closing Date

11.59pm on the 21st of September 2026.
