Job summary

Dacorum Borough Council in Hemel Hempstead is recruiting for a Band 5 post within the Clean Safe and Green Service. The role involves coordinating daily and weekly work programmes and working closely with team leaders and management to achieve high standards.

Job description

The Post Holder will be required to work Mon to Thursday 7am to 3pm and Friday 7am to 2:30pm as part of your shift pattern.

Working closely with the Clean Safe and Green Team Leaders, Supervisors and Management Team, you will be required to resolve basic job-related problems and coordinate the daily and weekly work program of your team. In order to achieve the desired output and standards.

Successful applicants will need to be physically fit and able to undertake specialised works as associated with the Clean Safe and Green Service. A full valid driving license is essential. You will also be required to demonstrate skills in driving and maintaining triple mowers, 3.5 tonne tipper vehicles with trailer, small plant and equipment. You will also be required to undertake minor repairs to this equipment in the field.

This means that the district and borough councils in Hertfordshire will be replaced by a smaller number of new unitary councils.

The posts are based at the Cupid Green Depot, Redbourn Road, Hemel Hempstead. Only those individuals who are able to satisfy and demonstrate the essential criteria in the person specification, up to and including Band 4 to 5. This position is a Band 5 as driving is essential for this role.
