We are seeking a Shift Environmental Monitoring Scientist to support GMP manufacturing facilities, aseptically collect samples, perform microbiological testing, manage data in a LIMS, review schedules and contribute to continuous improvement in a permanent full‑time role with a two‑week rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related life science subject.
• Experience in GMP-controlled pharmaceutical labs.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically collect environmental monitoring and cleaning validation samples at client facilities.
• Perform routine and non-routine microbiological and QC testing (bioburden, endotoxin, concentration, conductivity).
• Manage samples throughout their lifecycle using LIMS with chain of custody and documentation.
• Review manufacturing schedules and environmental monitoring plans; investigate OOS results or action limit excursions.
• Calculate, evaluate and GMP assess analytical data; prepare technical reports.
• Support laboratory and equipment maintenance and lean initiatives.
• Understand client requirements and adapt to processes with ongoing training.
