Job description

Environmental Manager - Leadership Opportunity

Location: Warrington

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits

Role: Permanent - Full Time

Overview

Are you an experienced Environmental Manager, Principal Environmental Consultant or Technical Lead looking for more than just your next project?

This is an opportunity to step into a newly created leadership role where you'll use your environmental expertise to shape teams, influence business decisions and help drive the future growth of a well-established business.

Working across a diverse portfolio of environmental, surveying and infrastructure projects, you'll provide leadership to multidisciplinary technical teams, helping ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards while developing people and supporting commercial success.

If you've reached the point in your career where you enjoy mentoring others, building client relationships and influencing the wider business as much as delivering technical work, this could be the next step you've been looking for.

The Role

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day writing technical reports or carrying out site work.

Instead, you'll become one of the key leaders within the technical function, supporting teams across environmental monitoring, planning, surveying and GIS.

You'll work closely with managers to ensure projects are properly resourced, help solve technical and operational challenges, coach and develop technical professionals and maintain the high standards clients expect.

Alongside leading the team, you'll play an important commercial role by strengthening existing client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional work, supporting tenders and helping the business continue to grow.

As a trusted technical leader, you'll also contribute to improving systems, processes and ways of working, ensuring the department continues to evolve alongside the business.

Ideal Candidate
  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Earth Sciences or a related discipline
  • Experience within environmental consultancy, environmental monitoring, contaminated land, hydrogeology, ecology, permitting or infrastructure
