Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an Environmental Manager to support major Cheshire construction projects. The role focuses on implementing an effective environmental management system across sites, coordinating with the Environment and Sustainability Manager and site teams.

You will assist with planning, audits, and records review, guiding site environmental controls, and helping develop EMS.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental controls and management systems in construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001-based management systems.
• Must have a full UK driving licence (car allowance or car available).
• CSCS card desirable for site access.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental Manager and site teams in implementing an environmental management system.
• Assist with environmental planning and reviewing records.
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections.
• Provide guidance on physical site environmental controls.
• Support development and implementation of EMS and monitor compliance and sustainability performance.
