Job summary
McCarthy Recruitment seeks an Environmental Manager to lead a newly created environmental leadership function in Warrington. You will guide multidisciplinary teams across environmental monitoring, planning, surveying and GIS, shaping projects and people development.
This role focuses on leadership, client relationships and business growth rather than hands-on reporting. If you enjoy mentoring, driving continuous improvement and influencing strategy, this is the next step.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
- Experience in environmental consultancy and leading projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Mentoring and developing technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Support resource planning and on-time project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and support tender submissions.
- Coach and mentor technical professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and standards.
- Shape the department's future direction with senior leadership.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and to high quality standards.
