Job Description
Allen & York are delighted to be working with a leading airport in the south west of England as they look to recruit an Environmental Management Specialist to sit in the Planning & Corporate Affairs Team and be an integral part of delivering their Sustainability Strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability and Social Value, you will offer expert advice on issues including waste, water, air quality, noise, and carbon management. A significant focus of the role will be on carbon management, so experience in this area is essential. The role also involves stakeholder engagement with various internal and external departments.
You will be responsible for maintaining the Airport's carbon model to ensure carbon reduction targets are met, and for supporting key sustainability projects such as solar installations and a planned Energy Centre. Additionally, you will prepare sustainability disclosures for annual accounts, including ESOS and SECR.
To qualify, you should hold a relevant degree, be an Associate Member of IEMA, and have experience in environmental and carbon management. The role requires a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
