Job summary

5 Star Recruitment in Wales is seeking a General Labourer/Assistant Gardener to support Street Cleansing and environmental maintenance across the county borough. You will work under the Team Leader or Charge Hand and may be deployed to Waste, Highways, cemeteries, or parks as priorities require.

You will perform litter picking, vegetation trimming, and operate machinery such as jet washers, sweepers, blowers, and trimmers.

Qualifications

• Experience in street cleansing or cleaning operations.
• Willingness to work across departments within neighbourhood services as priorities require.
• Ability to operate relevant machinery safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Litter Pick where needed
• Carryout environmental projects throughout the town and vegetation management
• Cleanse allocated areas to LEAMS standards
• Remove litter from trunk roads and dog fouling bins
• Operate jet washer, sweepers, blower, strimmer and other machinery
• Report incidents of dumping, fly tipping, or littering to lead-hand
• Assist with winter maintenance and trunk road cleansing as required
