Zusammenfassung

Severn Trent is seeking a proactive Abstraction Compliance Specialist based at our Coventry HQ. You will interpret environmental licences for water abstraction, translate requirements into practical guidance, and ensure compliance through data-driven analysis.

You will audit licences, report findings, and collaborate across teams to drive improvements and timely regulatory submissions. A strong data background and stakeholder communication are essential to success.

Qualifikationen

• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including evidence backed appeals.
• The ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences, including senior leaders, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Auditing, verifying and reporting compliance with abstraction licenses, while working across teams to resolve compliance issues.
• Playing a central part in the company’s abstraction improvement programme to support continuous improvement across the business.
• Submitting abstraction returns within regulatory deadlines and investigating potential licence breaches to produce audit-ready reports.
• Supporting the completion of regulatory actions (WR51) to maintain compliance with the numeric and descriptive conditions of abstraction licences.
• Contributing to detailed root-cause investigations and drafting letters and appeals that demonstrate compliance.
• Maintaining documentation pertinent to systematic assurance of data
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Ofwat, DEFRA and Natural England.
• Understanding abstraction performance under the EPA and driving improvements.
