Job summary

VSL International, part of Bouygues Construction, leads environmental management for Sizewell C. The Environmental Manager develops EMS, ensures compliance with permits, and drives sustainable practices across all construction phases.

The role requires extensive ISO 14001 expertise, stakeholder engagement with regulators and the client, and a proactive approach to continuous environmental improvement on a major infrastructure project in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Environmental Management or related discipline.
• ISO 14001 Auditor qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMS development, implementation and monitoring across the project.
• Ensure environmental obligations are identified, understood and met.
• Oversee environmental risk identification and control measures.
• Support environmental improvement and regulatory compliance across phases.
• Provide liaison with regulators, client and external stakeholders.
