Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Analyst for the Westlakes Science Park site in Whitehaven. The role focuses on delivering accurate chemistry analyses in support of client sites such as Sellafield, while maintaining safety and ISO17025 standards.

Based at Whitehaven, the role is full-time (37 hours) with training and development opportunities, a strong safety culture, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical chemistry.
• Awareness of conventional and radiological safety.
• Awareness of ISO17025 standard.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering programmes of work to provide analytical results on time and to quality.
• Comply with the laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation.
• Comply with processes and procedures to enable safe working practices.
• Work as part of a team to provide a consistent and efficient level of service.
• Identify and report issues to maintain and improve operational capability and service level.
• Assist with the validation of new and existing techniques and equipment to comply with quality systems.
