Cavendish Nuclear, based at Westlakes Science Park, Whitehaven, is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Analyst to join the analytical team at our lab in Carlisle/Whitehaven. The role focuses on delivering accurate chemistry analyses under safety and environmental standards, supporting site licenses and client needs.

You will work 37 hours per week on site, with opportunities to contribute to method validation, quality systems, and improvements in analytical capability within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical chemistry.
• Awareness of conventional and radiological safety.
• Awareness of ISO17025 standard.

Responsabilités

• Assist in delivering assigned programmes of work to provide analytical results on time and to quality.
• Comply with the laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation.
• Adhere to processes and procedures to ensure safe working practices.
• Collaborate within a team to provide a consistent and efficient service.
• Identify and report issues to maintain and improve operational capability and service level.
• Assist with validation of new and existing techniques and equipment to comply with quality systems.
