Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Analyst to join the analytical team at our Westlakes Science Park site in Whitehaven. You will conduct chemistry analyses on samples to support client sites while upholding safety, quality and environmental standards.

This full-time role supports the delivery of analytical results on time, assists with testing protocols, and maintains accreditation standards under ISO17025.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical chemistry and laboratory work.
• Awareness of conventional and radiological safety practices.
• Familiarity with ISO17025 accreditation standards.
• Science A Level (or equivalent) with practical lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering work programmes to provide analytical results on time and to quality.
• Comply with laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation.
• Follow processes to ensure safe working practices.
• Work as part of a team to provide consistent and efficient service.
• Identify and report issues to improve operations and service levels.
• Assist with validation of new and existing techniques and equipment.
