Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking an Environmental Specialist to lead environmental management across major projects in Scotland. The role focuses on ISO 14001 compliance, audits, stakeholder engagement, and driving continual improvement within SP Transmission.

You will collaborate with Environmental Advisors, report to the Environmental Manager, and support delivery of HSEQ objectives across a large portfolio.

Qualifications

Degree in HSEQ or related discipline and professional qualifications.
Significant environmental experience in a similar-sized organisation.
Lead Auditor qualification and ISO 14001 knowledge essential.
Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Experience with external certification bodies and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead the Environmental Management System across SP Transmission projects.
Audit IMS and drive continual improvement and compliance.
Coordinate environmental escalation and stakeholder engagement.
Prepare environmental performance reports for senior management.
Deliver training on environmental requirements to project teams.
