Job summary

SP Energy Networks, Edinburgh Park, Edinburgh, is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the ISO 14001 accreditation process and environmental compliance across engineering and construction activities. The role involves developing Environmental Management Plans and ensuring adherence to environmental licences and regulations.

You will work with regulators and stakeholders to drive continual environmental improvement and maintain the Environmental Management System, while enabling safe,

Qualifications

Degree in Environmental discipline.
Experience in ISO 14001 and environmental auditing.
Strong communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (EMS) to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation.
Provide specialist environmental advice to project teams before and during construction.
Develop Environmental Management Plans for projects and ensure compliance with licence requirements.
Liaise with regulators and stakeholders (e.g., SNH, SEPA, Local Authorities) and manage environmental monitoring and reporting.
