Job Description:

MCS Group is seeking a proactive and skilled Environmental & Facilities Engineer to support the management and maintenance of on-site facilities for a leading manufacturing company based in Greater Belfast.

This role involves working across plant infrastructure, environmental systems, and site services, aiming to improve compliance, cost-efficiency, and environmental impact.

You will:

• Ensure all plant and facility systems comply with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Manage service contracts including water, compressors, forklifts, cranes, heating, and waste management.
• Develop and maintain environmental databases and investigate environmental incidents.
• Lead internal environmental audits and support external compliance activities (e.g., ISO 14001, PPC).
• Drive initiatives to reduce energy use, waste, and environmental impact.
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment and service sourcing.
• Prepare technical specifications, review tenders, and present capital proposals.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies for audits, permits, and funding.
• Identify and lead implementation of cost-saving projects.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments in environmental and facilities operations.

Requirements include a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields, and strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance frameworks such as ISO 14001 and PPC.
