Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join their team in the water sector in the United Kingdom. You will work independently and with project teams to provide environmental input into designs and site support activities.

You will analyse data and prepare technical reports, ensuring environmental compliance and coordinating with clients. This role emphasizes collaboration with senior staff and maintaining ISO 14000 documentation across the UK and Ireland offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental disciplines.
• Experience in environmental roles, preferably consultancy.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical reports.
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with other technical specialists.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of EU/UK environmental legislation and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and within project teams to provide environmental input into designs and site support activities.
• Analyse and interpret data followed by technical report writing.
• Ensure environmental compliance in line with client's standards, requirements, and policies.
• Interface with clients for environmental coordination, resolving queries and issues.
• Preparation of technical material to inform decision making.
• Support the senior team members in the delivery of environmental workstreams.
• Maintain the ISO 14000 audit documentation and process for the UK and Ireland office.
