Job summary

AZTRUM is seeking a Water Consultant to join our Cheltenham team. The role offers hybrid working from the office and involves contributing to hydrological, water quality and flood risk projects across the UK.

You will be involved in LVIA, WFD assessments and hydraulic modelling, with responsibilities including data analysis, report writing and client communication. A strong academic background and UK consultancy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in hydrology, flood risk, water resources or GIS.
• Experience with UK-based consultancies delivering hydrological risk assessments and water resource studies.
• Experience with Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessments and water quality.
• Experience in river habitat surveys, LVIA, or hydraulic modelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for report writing.

Responsibilities

• Complete hydrological, water quality, hydro-ecology and flood risk projects across the UK.
• Perform LVIA, water resource and WFD assessments as part of project work.
• Utilise GIS for data analysis and mapping.
• Assist with report writing and client communications.
• Conduct site visits and collect river environment data.

Job description

My client a market leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Water Consultant to join their Team in Cheltenham.

You will work from the office on a hybrid basis.

Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in hydrology, flood risk, water resources or GIS and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing hydrological risk assessments, water resource assessments, WFD Assessments and water quality.

Experience of river habitat surveys, LVIAs or hydraulic modelling.

You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills to write reports.

As a Water Consultant you will join an experienced team to complete varied hydrological, water quality, hydro-ecology, flood risk, LVIA and water resources projects for infrastructure, renewable energy and developments across the UK.

You will be trained and supported to complete;

• Watercourse assessments.
• River habitat surveys.
• Habitat regulation assessments.
• LVIA
• Water framework directive assessments.
• Water resource assessments
• Hydrological assessments
• Water quality assessments and monitoring.
• Data analysis of monitoring data.
