RSK Raw, part of the RSK Group, has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our team in Kingsclere, Newbury, UK.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a mix of site and office work, including environmental contracting and consultancy projects.

About RSK Raw: We provide multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services across various industries in the UK, specializing in spill response, contamination investigation, and remediation projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Managing and delivering rapid response to environmental incidents in urban and rural settings.
  2. Proactively assessing pollution risks and applying techniques for containment and recovery of oils and contaminants.
  3. Maintaining accurate site notes and demonstrating excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  4. Undertaking Phase I and Phase II site investigations.
  5. Conducting desk-based research and preparing site plans.
  6. Organizing, undertaking, and supervising site works.
  7. Managing subcontractors, ensuring control of financial and health & safety matters.
  8. Preparing cost proposals, tenders, and reports.
  9. Developing Health and Safety documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
  10. Adhering to management systems and safety protocols.
  11. Financial management of projects, including invoicing and payment chasing.
  12. Managing project performance and delivering high-quality services.
  13. Proactive client management and communication throughout project lifecycle.
  14. Performing additional tasks as reasonably expected within your capability.
Additional Information
  • Requirement to work outside normal hours due to 24/7 spill response service, with compensation.
  • Occasional travel across the UK, including staying away from home.
  • Opportunities for collaboration within the RSK Group.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience.
  • Project management experience (desirable).
  • Degree in science, environment, or land-related subject.
  • Membership of a professional body (desirable).
  • Flexible attitude, enthusiasm, and drive.
  • Effective team player and independent worker.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • CSCS card and full UK/EC driving license.
