Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking an Environmental Advisor to guide our compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices across the organization. You will collaborate with HSE, Engineering and Construction teams to develop and implement effective environmental management strategies.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, NEBOSH certification being highly desirable, and experience in environmental advisory roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Health and Safety, or related field.
• NEBOSH certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Experience as an environmental advisor in HSE, Engineering, or Construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001.
• Proficient in conducting environmental risk assessments and mitigation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver training and develop educational materials.
• Experience in incident management and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to ensure regulatory compliance and promote sustainable practices.
• Work with HSE, Engineering and Construction to develop EMS strategies.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and perform audits to identify non-compliance.
• Develop and maintain EMS including ISO 14001 to manage risks.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Prepare environmental reports, waste management and emissions inventories.
• Promote sustainability and resource conservation across the organization.
• Engage stakeholders and participate in meetings, consultations, and hearings.
• Deliver environmental training programs and develop educational materials.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
