Environmental Compliance Specialist, Bristol

Allen & York are working with a leading airport in southwest England to recruit an Environmental Compliance Specialist for the Planning & Corporate Affairs Team. This role involves maintaining the Airport's Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, scheduling, and conducting environmental audits
• Overseeing environmental monitoring and ensuring licenses and permits are up to date and compliant with ISO 14001
• Liaising with the Environment Agency and other external bodies, demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Preparing audit reports and coordinating external ISO audits
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation, policies, and procedures
• Delivering training and coaching to ensure departmental compliance and best practices
• Responding to environmental investigations and complaints
• Collaborating with noise management consultants to implement the Noise Action Plan

Qualifications and skills required:

• Relevant degree and membership of IEMA
• Experience in environmental auditing and compliance
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Interest in aviation or infrastructure sectors and willingness to learn

This position is based on-site at the airport with a hybrid work model, allowing two to three days remote work per week after initial onboarding. Initially, attendance at the office is required three days a week.
