Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Environmental Cleaner to work across the hospital, delivering high standard cleaning in line with national standards and assisting with patient environment services.

You will perform high and low level cleaning, replenish stock, and maintain sanitary areas, with some unsocial hours and weekend shifts, contributing to a cohesive and compliant cleaning operation that supports patient care.

Responsibilities

• Working in all areas of the hospital, cleaning to a high standard inline with the national cleaning standards.
• Cleaning in all areas of the Hospital where required and completing all high and low level cleaning, replenishing stock, machine cleaning floors and cleaning sanitary areas.
• To support and deliver a full Patient Environment cleaning service. Delivering an enhanced patient experience and support the Trust in providing a cohesive, cost effective, efficient and fully compliant Environmental Cleanliness service.

Job description

Band 2 Environmental Cleaner.

Working in all areas of the hospital, cleaning to a high standard inline with the national cleaning standards, the successful applicant would be required to work off site locally situated and would be required to work unsociable hours and weekends.

Cleaning in all areas of the Hospital where required and completing all high and low level cleaning, replenishing stock, machine cleaning floors and cleaning sanitary areas.

To support and deliver a full Patient Environment cleaning service. Delivering an enhanced patient experience and support the Trust in providing a cohesive, cost effective, efficient and fully compliant Environmental Cleanliness service.

To maintain the standards set out in the National Clearing Standards and improving compliance with the Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment. To be able to work on your own initiative with the support and guidance of the Housekeeper Coordinators(s).
