Job summary

Adler and Allan in Scotland is seeking an Environmental Consultant for the ECM division. The role covers contaminated land, investigation, assessment, reporting, validation and project management of environmental insurance claims, with home-based work and supervision from senior staff.

The post holder will manage site works, liaise with stakeholders, supervise field activities and ensure safety and technical standards are met, while handling project financials as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant earth sciences or geo-environmental discipline.
• Knowledge of site investigation techniques and supervision of drilling.
• Experience on contaminated land projects with petroleum hydrocarbons is beneficial.
• Experience with LCRM and BS10175 is preferred.
• Proficiency in logging soil/rock per BS5930 and developing CSIs.

Responsibilities

• Project management of insurance claims with regional support.
• Arrange site works including investigation and remediation.
• Liaise with site staff, homeowners and contractors prior to visits.
• Supervise site investigations, remediation and validations.
• Manage contractors on-site with high health and safety standards.
• Prepare interpretive site investigation reports with line-manager support.
• Prepare site validation reports with line-manager support.
• Perform duties to meet ECM business needs.
• Control and report on project financials.
• Demonstrate safety, technical robustness and customer satisfaction.
