Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an Environmental Advisor to take ownership across major infrastructure and live civils projects in Scotland. The role combines site-facing environmental compliance, regulatory engagement, and close collaboration with operational teams, regulators and supply chain partners.

The successful candidate will support the HSEQ function within a long-term water framework, with hybrid site-based duties and progression opportunities across the utilities and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Environmental qualification or related Degree Level Qualifications.
• Experience in an Environmental role within construction, utilities, infrastructure, water, power, or civils.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and risk management.
• IEMA membership or working towards would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing environmental compliance support across live infrastructure and construction projects
• Supporting the implementation of the environmental and HS&E strategy across the framework
• Working closely with operational teams to promote a positive environmental culture
• Conducting environmental inspections, audits, and ISO 14001 compliance reviews
• Managing environmental risks and supporting mitigation measures across projects
• Supporting waste management compliance and environmental performance monitoring
• Liaising with regulators, environmental authorities, clients, and supply chain partners
• Investigating environmental incidents and non-conformities, identifying root causes and corrective actionsDelivering environmental training, awareness sessions, and best practice guidance
• Producing environmental reports and supporting continual improvement initiatives across the framework
