Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support SHEQ management across Leyland and Thornton facilities, with travel between sites. You will drive regulatory compliance, auditing, training, and data reporting to ensure high environmental standards.

The role demands strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration within industrial environments. Essential qualifications include CIWM Level 4, 3–5 years in a similar role, and experience with regulators.

Qualifications

• CIWM Level 4 (Medium Risk Non-Hazardous Waste) qualification.
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar Environmental Advisor role.
• Experience working with regulators (EA, HSE).
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Knowledge of audit processes, environmental reporting and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance activities and reports across facilities.
• Update documentation and support staff environmental awareness training.
• Liaise with regulators and service providers to collate compliance records.
• Lead environmental audits and manage corrective actions.
• Contribute to waste and environmental projects and quarterly sampling requirements.
• Provide environmental guidance to site teams and attend meetings.
• Line-manage a team of Waste Auditors.
